Hello and welcome to Letting Down the Anchor! Amidst all the other blogs out there, I’m not sure how you stumbled across mine but I am so glad you did!
My name is Abby. I’m currently a senior at Grove City College in The-Middle-of-Nowhere, Pennsylvania studying communications. I like ice cream, baking, good music, and classic chick flicks. Although it’s hard to picture life without those things, I cannot imagine my life without the hope I have in Christ. That being said, the most important thing to me is my faith, so when I got bored over Christmas break freshman year I started writing down thoughts about what God had been doing in my life over the past few years. I started this blog as a way of sharing those stories, encouraging others and to ultimately bring glory to the only name that matters.
For those of you looking for a blog about boating, I’m sorry to disappoint. Despite the blog name, I am pretty clueless when it comes to anything having to do with boats. However, I do know that many of them have anchors. What do faith and anchors have to do with each other? Take a look at Hebrews 6:19. Head over to my first post to read my thoughts about that verse and some more about the purpose of this blog.
If you’re looking for tips on maritime navigation or how to repair the hole in your sail I would suggest heading back to Google. Before you do though, stay for a while and look around 🙂
